The Scottish Ferret Club

Club Information

About the club

The Scottish Ferret club was resurrected from its previous incarnation by George Campbell and John Allen in 1998.  The Club has in it's time been responsible for rescuing and re-homing over 200 ferrets although due to a change in SSPCA policy no longer takes part in ferret re-homing on a large scale.  The club currently has over 70 family memberships with an estimated 200 individual members.

Since 2000 the Scottish Ferret Club has been invited to attend The Scottish Game Conservancy fair at Scone, Perthshire.  This is the club's biggest event bringing in members from far and wide.  Ferret handling sessions for the public, ferret racing and a ferret show are all held during the course of the weekend.

The club also has also run ferreting courses for it's younger members in association with the British Association for Shooting and Conservation (BASC).

Club Aims
