At this time (February 2008) there are 2 members of the Scottish Ferret Club who run ferret rescues. 

Bathgate Ferret Rescue was started in 2004 by Wullie Hamilton and Gus Weir.  The rescue is run from their homes and is funded through donations for re-homed ferrets and from their own money. 

To date the rescue has re-homed over 200 ferrets mostly through local papers and more recently through the SFC website.
